Today's Sightings: Northern Resident Orcas, Humpback Whales, Dall's Porpoises, Steller Sea Lions, Rhinoceros and Cassin's Auklets, Red-Necked Phalaropes, Common Murres, Pigeon Guillemots, Bald Eagles, a Great Blue Heron, Surf Scoters and Gulls.

How beautiful was our day while having the sun shining brightly throughout! The Orcas were travelling back to the east in Johnstone Strait when we encountered them this morning; they were the A30s and we observed some foraging and socializing behaviour that included tail slaps, splashing and spy-hopping.

The sky and sea were very blue today and even at a distance we could easily see three Humpback Whales in the area, Domino and Ridge we identified. It was a glorious fall day that was exhilarating and beautiful in every way!
